Rob is a director within the Foundation and Geotechnics Department of Mott MacDonald in Croydon. He has more than 25 years’ experience in project management and geotechnical design delivery on building and infrastructure projects in the UK, Canada, Europe, USA, Middle East and Far East. Rob is presently working on the Thames Tideway East project for the design and build contractor Costain, Vinci, Bachy (CVB JV). He has worked on HS2 for the completed the Hybrid Parliamentary bill for the London Metropolitan section and on the enabling works design at Euston Station for the design and build contractor Costain Skanska (CS JV). He worked on the recently completed Bank Bloomberg Place adit connection tunnel in London. He has a wide range of geotechnical experience including high speed railway projects, highways, subways, light rail transit systems, shafts, deep piled basements, cut and cover tunnels, potential damage assessments, instrumentation and monitoring, anchored/propped piled retaining walls, bridge foundations and abutments, underpinning, grouting, earthworks, re-use of site materials, ground improvement techniques, drainage, road pavements and remediation of contaminated land.
